When you’ve been in the business as long as I have, you learn early on there’s no such thing as typical. Even a project as straightforward as removing wallpaper and adding a few coats of paint. That was certainly the case at a recent Quad Coatings & Interiors project at an assisted living in Fairhaven, Mass.
The project included fresh paint on the ceilings and walls throughout the facility. We also installed an ACT ceiling in the activity room with new HVAC system.
Yet the most memorable part of the project was the layers of wallpaper that had to be removed from the walls. In some cases, two and three layers. Many of those layers had been painted over, too.
The Quad Squad was up to the task. In a three-week period, we completed the job–removing wallpaper, all the paint and the ceiling work. Here’s a sampling of the results below.
